10/28/10 -- When David Obey retired after four decades in Washington, it sent shockwaves through the political establishment. Many in the northwestern Wisconsin district had no recollection of a difference Congressman. Although Obey had been easily re-elected, it looks likely, though by no means certain, that his successor will be a Republican. Sean Duffy has by all accounts run a strong campaign, and has led consistently in the polls.
